MacDill supports Swift Response 18

A C-17 Globemaster III aircraft assigned to the 62nd Airlift Wing from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., prepares to receive fuel over Canada, during Exercise Swift Response 18 (SR18), June 8, 2018. A KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft from MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., assisted in refueling a formation of C-17s en route to Europe as a part of the exercise. SR18 is an annual. U.S. Army Europe-led exercise focused on allied airborne forces’ ability to quickly and effectively respond to crisis situations as an interoperable multi-national team. Refuelers help build ‘air bridges’ across continents and oceans, enabling U.S. and Allied forces to reach any corner of the planet. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Adam R. Shanks)
