MacDill strengthens capabilities through integrated training with Shaw
F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft assigned to Shaw Air Force Base (AFB), South Carolina, fly in formation to provide defensive air support to KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft assigned to MacDill AFB, Florida, during a training scenario, Dec. 2, 2020. During the integrated training at Shaw, MacDill’s aircrew flew 13 sorties, refueled 200 F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, off-loaded 650,000 lbs. of fuel and flew defensive patterns with support from Shaw’s fighter aircraft which simulated realistic combat scenarios.
