The Air Installation Compatible Use Zone Program is a Department of Defense planning program which was developed in response to growing incompatible urban development (encroachment) around military airfields. The Air Force AICUZ program policy is to promote compatible land use through participation in local, regional, state and federal land use planning control and coordination processes.
