Black History Month Observance
U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Thaddeus Brannon, 6th Medical Group superintendent, speaks during the Black History Month observation luncheon at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., Feb. 27, 2020. Every year during the month of February, Black History Month is celebrated with a different theme. This year’s theme is ‘Honoring the past, securing the future,’ as a commemoration of the 75th anniversary of WWII. African Americans played a tremendous role during these times and helped win the freedom each American enjoys today despite the struggles they faced with their own freedom and equality.
