MacDill AFB celebrates Native Americans

Deneshia Smith, a traditional Native American dancer, performs during a Native American Heritage Month luncheon at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Nov. 14, 2023. The event featured traditional dancing and cuisine, including frybread, corn mush, beef and vegetable soup and a Navajo tea. Smith performed a “fancy shawl” routine, which focused on the outfit’s elaborate designs, applique, ribbon work, and painting. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Zachary Foster)
