STEAM Day participants:  Unfortunately, to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and preserve the ability of our service members to meet any and all national defense taskings, we are postponing the 2020 STEAM Day until further notice. This is disappointing news to us, as well as to the community that welcomes us as friends and neighbors. This decision was not an easy one, however we are following Department of Defense and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention risk-based guidance. We will continue to work closely with our state and regional/local health officials to coordinate detection and response efforts when needed. I encourage you to review the CDC’s website for more information on a few simple tips to safeguard yourself, your families and your teammates from potential spread of the virus. We will keep MacDill AFB’s Facebook page updated with the latest guidance and information. Thank you for your continued support!

Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) are the life force for innovation in our ever-advancing world. Exposing students to STEAM firsthand, drives motivation and inspiration to pursue our increasing need for innovation.

MacDill Air Force Bases' annual STEAM Day does just that. Featuring a wide variety of career fields from 70+ organizations like Animal Sciences of Busch Gardens, USAF Meteorology and the Science of Ice from the Tampa Bay Lightning, to name a few, students receive interactive learning experiences in STEAM careers. More than 1,300 students from 32 schools, including schools from across the country, were able to experience MacDill's most recent STEAM Day. This year, MacDill will be inviting 2,000 students to participate in our largest, most exciting STEAM Day yet!

You can join the excitement by signing up through our information sheet on this website. If you have any questions or need additional information regarding the event, please email Public Affairs at communityrelations@us.af.mil or call 813-828-2217. We look forward to seeing you at STEAM Day!
