MacDill community preserves natural beauty and stability

Volunteers pass mesh seashell bags in an assembly line fashion to build an oyster reef in the water at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., Dec. 14, 2018. MacDill’s eastern shoreline is prone to erosion, however building an oyster reef aids in stabilizing the shoreline as well as improving MacDill’s vast natural habitats.
