Colonel JASON H. PARKER

Colonel Jason H. Parker is the Commander, 6th Mission Support Group, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. He commands more than 1,700 people assigned to six squadrons and supports U.S. Special Operations Command, U.S. Central Command, and 31 other mission partners. He is the focal point for the plans, programs and services necessary to maintain 658 facilities and support a base population of 16,800 military and civilians, and over 275,000 retirees. Colonel Parker is accountable for an operating annual budget of $50 million and supervises more than $475 million in military construction, more than $9 million in service contracts and approximately $140 million in retail sales.

Colonel Parker enlisted in the Air Force in 1993, commissioned in 2003 as a distinguished graduate of Officer Training School, and has held a variety of positions at the squadron, agency, joint task force, numbered air force, major command, combatant command, and Joint Staff levels. 

Colonel Parker has also directly supported Operations NOBLE EAGLE, JOINT GUARD, JOINT FORGE, ALLIED FORCE, ENDURING FREEDOM, ODYSSEY DAWN and NEW DAWN.  A career communications & cyberspace warfare officer, he has served in operational and staff positions related to C4/cyber planning, force development, network operations, contingency response, expeditionary communications, information operations, and command & control operations.
