MACDILL AFB PARENT ADVISORY BOARD OFFERS PARENTS A FORUM FOR THEIR CHILDREN'S CARE
Any parent utilizing the CDCs, FCC, School Age, and/or Youth Center (to include sports and camps) are encouraged to participate in monthly forums and quarterly meetings about all of the FSS Child and Youth programs on base. The meetings are held from 1200-1300(ish) at varying locations throughout the base to meet the limitations of MacDill's working parents. Lunches are provided for free to help ease the burden of making the meeting and not sacrificing your lunch hour. The monthly forums are a great place to share with the PAB Committee, who are also parents of MacDill youth, any questions, concerns, compliments, or suggestions in a low threat, highly motivated setting. The quarterly meetings, led by the PAB Committee, allow parents to come together with C&Y Program Directors and representatives to discuss upcoming improvements, updates, or changes, generate rapport, and interact eye to eye. Additionally, PAB sponsors fun and interactive events and activities throughout the year to foster morale, generate funds for the Programs, and give back to the families and staff members supporting our wonderful and resilient military children. This organization is free to join and we are always looking for motivated individuals wanting to give back to their community. Currently, the Committee is looking to fill the treasurer, facility representative, events coordinator, media specialist, and public relations positions. We are also excited to have parent volunteers looking to assist with our events and activities. These activities include, but are not limited to Back-To-School Fair, Picture day, Penny Challenge, Pot Lucks, Month of the Military Child, Staff & Caregiver Appreciation week, and so much more. Please find us on Facebook at MacDill Parent Advisory Board or email us at  pab.mafb@gmail.com for more information.
