Joint Services Against Drunk Driving (JSADD)

Joint Services Against Drunk Driving is a free, anonymous and safe alternate mode of transportation for those who have been drinking and are unable to secure a ride home. COVID-19 Update

In accordance with Department of Defense COVID-19 issued guidance due to increased Delta variant cases in the Tampa region, MacDill Air Force Base has implemented Health Protection Condition Bravo+ as of July 29, 2021. Per the Secretary of Defense, effective immediately, all personnel must wear a face covering at all times while indoors on the installation regardless of vaccination status. Additionally, all personnel must continue to wear masks outdoors on the installation when proper physical distance cannot be maintained. MacDill CDC releases Kinderspot app

In an effort to aid military service members in finding available childcare or day care service at MacDill’s Child Development Center, a mobile app called Kinderspot, developed by Oddball, will be available to families of MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, beginning July 12, 2021. The Kinderspot app will allow service members whose children are enrolled at the CDC, to sublet their children’s spot to outside members seeking short term childcare.

Air Force tests child care subletting app at 8 installations

The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center is testing a mobile app designed to centralize and streamline the subletting of short-term slots at military child development centers this summer. The app, called Kinderspot, earned first place at the 2020 AFIMSC Innovation Rodeo. To design a tool that would benefit military families, AFIMSC partnered with Oddball, a digital services team specializing in transforming government software, and worked closely with the Air Force Services Center to shape the app and processes to align with other child and youth program priorities and efforts.
