MacDill's AirFest 2009

The 2009 Airfest was the host to spectacular aerial demonstrations, static displays and featured the Air Force Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds celebrated 55 years of representing America's Airmen. The Airfest gave the Tampa Bay community the opportunity to witness firsthand the capabilities of the armed forces. MacDill's AirFest 2009

The AirFest embodies families and friends that want to explore what the United States military is all about. This years AirFest displayed various exhibits and demonstrations. The A-10 Thunderbolt was one of the planes on display. The A-10 can speed up to 439 MPH with close air support.
