MacDill’s Diamond Sharp Award winners

Two Airmen were recently recognized as the MacDill First Sergeants Council’s Diamond Sharp Award recipients for the month of March, 2020.

Tech. Sgt. Joshua Baca, a squadron aviation resource manager assigned to the 50th Air Refueling Squadron and Airman First Class Brittany Boudreaux, a medical technician assigned to the 6th Health Care Operations Squadron received the awards from their squadron leadership.

Baca led the operation group’s operations control center, ensuring successful command and control operations for assigned personnel supporting the wing’s operational missions. He instructed senior enlisted leaders to perform as saber team sword members during the Chief Master Sergeant Induction Ceremony ensuring a successful event for the attendees. As Vice President of Air Force Sergeants Association’s local chapter, he organized and led a team gathering 20-lbs of trash for the Adopt a Highway program.

Boudreaux streamlined the patient booking, lab order and specimen labeling administrative process, ensuring the effective processing of laboratory specimen, flu and STREP tests, solidifying the medical group’s efforts to protect more than 241,000 beneficiaries and 600 staff members.

The Diamond Sharp Award is a monthly award that recognizes an Airman and a non-commissioned officer who excel in the performance of their primary duties, leadership and professionalism.
