MacDill’s Air Force Assistance Fund kicks off

The Air Force Assistance Fund was established to provide for an annual effort to raise funds for the charitable affiliates that provide support to the Air Force family ... basically, it's Air Force members helping Air Force families in need. The charitable organizations supported are the Air Force Enlisted Village Foundation, the Air Force Villages Foundation, the Air Force Aid Society, and the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation. These organizations help Air Force people with aid in an emergency, with educational needs, or to have a secure retirement home for widows or widowers of Air Force members in need of financial assistance. This past year alone, more than $144,000 was given out in grants and loans to MacDill's Airmen. These are charities we can see working at a very personal level!
