6 FSS downs Med Group B

The 6th Force Support Squadron took their second win of the season defeating Med Group B as intramural volleyball continued last week.

The 6 FSS team defeated Med Group B 2-1 (26-24, 25-21, 15-5) July 22 at the MacDill Fitness Center.

With power serving from Liz Wehr, a stand-in for Med Group B, Med Group B came back from a 19-6 deficit to take the first game.

Med Group B dropped the second game by four points.

For FSS, Christopher Kisse served three aces in the second match. Kisse also tallied points with successful blocks. DeMarcus Hunt scored on a tip. Two out of bounds gave FSS the winning margin.

For Med Group B, Trevor Nolan made two successful blocks for points and scored on a spike. Anthony Hutchinson also scored on a hit.

A kill shot by Kisse put 6 FSS over the top during the third game. Bernie Torres, Bassel Noori and Hunt also scored on well-timed hits.

SOCOM is in first place with 9 games left to play in the season.
