6th Communications Squadron multimedia service reduction, elimination timeline

Due to restructuring and personnel cuts, the 6th Communications Squadron is scheduled to begin the reduction as well as the elimination of certain services previously provided. 

For reduced and eliminated services, self-help kits and equipment will be issued to personnel. Additionally, training will also be provided when a request is submitted by the units.

July 2 
Presentations support eliminated

- Responsibility transferred to the user
- Existing presentations equipment transferred to group level for unit use (6th Mission Support Group, 6th Operations Group, 6th Maintenance Group and 6th Medical Group)

July 13
Final graphics work orders accepted

Aug. 1
Centralized graphics support eliminated -- transfer to unit responsibility
Templates, logos, emblems and rank insignia available on MacDill Intraweb under products and base image bank

Centralized photo support eliminated -- transfer to unit responsibility 
Group photos 
- Official historical documentation, distinguished visitors or news worthy events (6th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs approving authority) 

Award ceremonies
- Wing level ceremonies and U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command annual awards 

Change of command ceremonies
- Group level and above to include U.S. CENTCOM, U.S. SOCOM and U.S. Special Operations Command Central only 

Miscellaneous photography
- Official historical documentation, distinguished visitors or news worthy events (6 AMW/PA approving authority) 

Radio and Television broadcasting support eliminated
- All support for unofficial historical documentation, distinguished visitors or news worthy events (6 AMW/PA approving authority)
- Reproduction services will be limited to a space available basis only

Aug. 14

Retirement ceremonies (limited to individuals E-9 and O-6 and above)
