The 6th Force Support Squadron military personnel section main facility, building 373, experienced flood damage August 10, 2015, at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. As a result, the personnel and Airmen have been in a bit of a transition.

This unfortunate event has had the MPS displaced, but the hope is to have the MPS back in their permanent location by mid-October. In the meantime, the Airmen continue to strive to persevere through the numerous stressors that come their way.

"The unexpected move to building 378 has definitely tested our daily processes and the way we do business, but we continue to provide the best possible customer service," expressed Capt. Kristina Eclevia, 6th FSS manpower and personnel flight commander.

In the time following the flood, 6 FSS has been working closely with the 6th Civil Engineer Squadron in order to move the MPS back from its contingency location at building 378. The contractors have been completing debris removal, mold remediation, painting, and cleaning.

The best way for customers to receive assistance is by first visiting the RAPIDS website where a number of frequently asked questions are addressed. This is also where customers can make an appointment. Obtaining an appointment allows the MPS to better service customers and foresees the customer flow for the given day resulting in reduced wait times.

Once back in the old facility, the identification card section will remain appointment only with the exception of work stoppages.

"We understand that it has been a little hectic, but we are continuing to provide service in the best way," voiced Eclevia. "We appreciate the patience and support of our customers and Team MacDill."
