Spouses of members of Team MacDill participated in the annual Battle of the Branches Bowling Bonanza at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, March 19, 2015.

"Battle of the Branches is a competition between the various branches of service represented by MacDill spouses," said Courtney Bilyeu, MacDill Officer's Spouses Club vice president.

MacDill is unique in that there is representation from Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force.  "The best part about attending this event is that it is a lot of fun and we were able to show our pride for our spouses' branches," said Bilyeu.

This year, a record-setting 65 spouses were in attendance.

"The most important part of this event is getting to spend time together competing in a friendly competition," explained Bilyeu. "It is also important to learn something new about a branch of service you might not have known and to meet other spouses within your branch."

The Air Force won the Best of the Branches trophy with a team bowling average of 100. The Army came in second place with an average of 98, followed by the Marine Corps with an average of 95 and the Navy with an average of 89.
