MacDill prepares for Tropical Storm Colin Published June 5, 2016 6th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- In preparation for Tropical Storm Colin, MacDill Air Force Base leadership has authorized only military mission essential personnel report to work Monday, June 6, 2016, for the following organizations: 6th Air Mobility Wing (6 AMW), 927th Air Refueling Wing, and the Navy Operations Support Center. Civilian personnel assigned to these organizations are authorized delayed reporting (up to 2-hours from normal report time). Unit commanders are authorized to approve liberal leave for civilian personnel and authorize telework to the maximum extent possible. As a result of the forecasted storm, all 6 AMW customer service organizations will be closed and associated appointments with 6 AMW organizations are cancelled. This includes medical appointments at the MacDill AFB Clinic, Traffic Management Office, ID Cards, etc. The Brandon Clinic will remain open and appointments will proceed as scheduled. All MacDill personnel are encouraged to stay tuned to local weather stations for the most up to date weather forecasts. Personnel not assigned to the 6 AMW or the previously identified organizations should contact their chain of command for reporting instructions.
