AirFest 2009

The United States Air Force Thunderbirds fly in a four ship formation overhead as part of their aerial demonstration while Thunderbird 5 performs a low altitude high speed pass in front of an awe stuck crowd of 60,000 spectators during the 2009 AirFest at MacDill Air Force Base on March 29. The world-famous U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Aerial Demonstration Team are the show headliners set to perform both days of the event. They are the best of the best: U.S. Air Force professionals chosen to present precision aerial maneuvers exhibiting the capabilities of modern high performance aircraft and the high degree of professional skill required to operate these aircraft. Accompanying the Thunderbirds are many other military and civilian aerial acts and static displays for spectators to enjoy. (US Air Force Photo by Master Sgt.Michael Gaddis)
