Honor Flight for hero’s
More than 1,000 people from the Tampa Bay community gathered at St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport, Clearwater, Fla., to welcome home 80 World War II veterans during the Honor Flight of West Central Florida’s homecoming May 6, 2014. According to the Honor Flight Network website, the WWII veteran survivors are passing away at a rate of more than 900 a day, and many have never seen the WWII monument.
