The eyes of the skies
The 6th Operations Support Squadron air traffic controllers work every day at MacDill Air Force Base Fla., to keep the skies safe for all inbound and outbound air traffic. Annually more than 15,300 aircraft visit MacDill, to include heads-of-state, foreign dignitaries and men and women returning home from deployments. The air traffic controllers are also charged with keeping the paratroopers of United States Special Operations Command safe as they complete over 1,600 jumps a year.
