Defenders challenge, complete

Tech. Sgt Rojen Richards, 6th Security Forces Squadron bravo flight assistant flight chief, and Staff Sgt. Trevor Paradise, 6th SFS patrolman, enter an active shooter scenario as the final obstacle in the Defenders Challenge at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., Sept. 20, 2013. Richards and Paradise were part of a four-man team that completed the 10-part challenge consisting of a 400-meter kayak, half-mile run with a weapon, then a 50 pound ammo can carry 200-meters, 50 push-ups, assembly and function check of a M-4 rifle and M-9 pistol, 50 more push-ups, another 50 pound ammo can carry, a two-mile ruck march and finishing out with an active shooter scenario.
