MacDill runway construction: minor effect on mission
A KC-135 Stratotanker taxis down the runway Nov. 8, 2015 at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. The MacDill runway is scheduled for reconstruction by Danner Construction, October 20, 2016. The approximately $8.0M reconstruction project will include a mill and overlay will cover the asphalt sections of the runway that is approximately 150 feet wide by 9,400 feet long. Also, the runway shoulders will be fog sealed to prevent foreign objects and debris, which is approximately 78,149 square yards.(U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Jenay Randolph)
