6th Medical Group opens new ambulance bay and bunkhouse

Mayor Bob Buckhorn, mayor of Tampa, cuts a ribbon during an Ambulance Bay and Bunkhouse ribbon cutting ceremony at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., March 10, 2017. MacDill’s partnership with Tampa Fire and Rescue allows for advanced lifesaving support 24/7, 365 days a year for base personnel. The paramedics and emergency medical technicians reside on MacDill and provide emergency medical response and transport with a response time of less than 12 minutes time.
