Out with analog and in with digital: KC-135s are being upgraded

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Steven Parras, an integrative flight control systems technician assigned to the 6th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, begins setting up for a Block 45 training on the KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., August 9, 2017. This course allows aircraft personnel to get hands-on experience with the new digital system that is replacing the current analog systems that have been on the aircraft for over 50 years.
