KB-50 Removal
A KB-50J Superfortress aircraft sits at the Memorial Park at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., Dec. 18, 2017, as it undergoes disassembly. This aircraft was originally built as a B-50 Bomber then converted into a KB-50 tanker and later retired in 1965. In order to preserve this irreplaceable artifact, it will be relocated to the Air Mobility Command Museum (AMCM), Dover Air Force Base, Del. By adding this tanker to their display, the AMCM will have the largest collection of tankers in the United States. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Ashley Perdue)
