Honoring the brave: USSOCOM remembers D-Day

Participants run to their next challenge during a U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) D-Day Memorial Shoot at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., June 1, 2018. This event contained weapon challenges on the M9 pistol, M4 carbine and firing blanks on the M240B machine gun. The annual challenge is hosted by USSOCOM to simulate obstacles encountered on D-Day to honor the brave men who faced extreme adversity and fought against all odds storming the beaches of Normandy, France in World War II.
