KC-135 crack creates collaboration with Tinker aircraft repair depot

A KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft rests on jacks next to its removed engines during maintenance on its trunnion, July 3, 2019, at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. To safely access the damage, all four engines had to be removed. The trunnion is a pivot point for the landing gear to fold underneath the aircraft in flight. This is the first time this type of maintenance has been performed at MacDill. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Frank Rohrig)
