6 ARW, 20th FW partner to "accelerate change or lose"
A maintainer assigned to the 6th Maintenance Group ascends into a KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), Fla., to prepare to fly to Shaw AFB, S.C., for a week-long integration training with the 20th Fighter Wing located at Shaw AFB, S.C., Nov. 29, 2020. This training allowed an opportunity to not only meet and greet with fighter pilots that otherwise would not be possible, but Team MacDill offloaded approximately 650,000 pounds of fuel while refueling 200 fighter aircraft that enhanced each unit’s operational capabilities.
