Brain Injury Awareness Month

U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Tim Szymanski, U.S. Special Operations Command deputy commander, receives the SABRES neurocognitive performance assessment recently. Here, gel is applied to the skin to improve contact with electroencephalography (EEG) electrodes embedded in the cap. SABRES uses computerized performance tests, EEG, subjective feedback and sleep assessments to build a comprehensive picture of cognitive health and performance.
