Volunteers step up to improve MacDill’s shoreline

Volunteers install oyster reef balls along the shoreline at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Dec. 2, 2021. The install was part of a MacDill initiative to help reduce erosion and improve coastal resiliency, provide an attachment surface for oysters to grow on which will filter the water, and provide habitat for numerous species of fish and wildlife.
