91st ARS brings the Thunderbirds home

U.S. Air Force Capt. Justin McCroskey, a pilot assigned to the 91st Air Refueling Squadron, completes pre-flight checks inside the cockpit of a KC-135 Stratotanker at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Feb. 22, 2022 before escorting the U.S. Air Force Demonstration Squadron “Thunderbirds” back to Nellis AFB, Nevada. The KC-135 is capable of pumping thousands of gallons of jet fuel into aircraft midair, enabling aircraft to fly over tactical locations that are long distances away from supporting airfields.
