MacDill and the Tampa Bay emergency rescue conduct Operation Neptune Storm
A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Airbus AS-360 patrols the Tampa Bay during Operation Neptune Storm at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, May 17, 2023. The operation included assets from the 6th Security Forces Squadron, U.S. Coast Guard, Tampa Fire Rescue, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, Tampa Police Department and the Hillsborough and Manatee County Sheriff’s Offices. The event demonstrated MacDill’s overwhelming maritime force protection capabilities employed to defend America’s premier power projection platform.
