Keeping Tankers Rolling
A KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 6th Air Refueling Wing is shown at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Nov. 20, 2023. Designed in the early 1950s, the KC-135 was one of the first aerial refueling tankers to take flight back in August. 31, 1956, and has been keeping Airmen in the fight ever since.
