Provides world-wide emergency assistance to Airmen and their eligible family members to meet immediate needs in an emergency situation. AFAS provides interest-free loans and grants based on the individual’s needs such as: emergency travel, child care/respite care, vehicle repair/payment, medical/dental, moving costs, funeral expenses, utilities, and basis living expenses. The Falcon Loan program is available to Air Force members only. New limits under the Falcon Loan Program is $1,000.00 without First Sergeant or Commander approval-repayment terms on the loans may be extended up to 12 months or within the member's ETS.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – The Air Force Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a support resource available to all Air Force civilian employees, 24/7, 365 days per year. By calling 1-800-222-0364, employees and their family members will be connected to a licensed, credentialed counselor who can assist with mental health, financial, or legal support, as well as provide information and resources for day-to-day challenges like elder care, childcare, home repair and more. In the event of a furlough, this resource remains 100% available, 100% of the time.
