Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – The Air Force Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a support resource available to all Air Force civilian employees, 24/7, 365 days per year. By calling 1-800-222-0364, employees and their family members will be connected to a licensed, credentialed counselor who can assist with mental health, financial, or legal support, as well as provide information and resources for day-to-day challenges like elder care, childcare, home repair and more. In the event of a furlough, this resource remains 100% available, 100% of the time.

ADAPT promotes readiness, health, and wellness through the prevention and treatment of substance misuse and abuse, to minimize the negative consequences of substance misuse and abuse to the individual, family, and organization. Services include outreach, education, prevention programs, screening, assessment, and consultation as well as initiatives to prevent future alcohol misuse, prescription drug misuse, or drug use, preventive counseling, and tailored feedback to individuals or groups. Provides evidence-based substance use disorder treatment for individuals who are abusing or are dependent on alcohol or drugs. Self-referrals are encouraged.

CHPS is a mobile worksite wellness program providing free resources to help individuals maintain and improve their health and well-being. The CHPS program provides programs and services to improve quality of life, reduce risk of preventable health conditions, increase awareness of nutrition and health, and provide opportunities for lifestyle change. CHPS offers an online wellness website portal, wellness screenings (cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, body composition), health education classes, wellness challenges and health awareness campaigns. All CHPS services are available to Federal Service Civilians with most services also open to Active Duty members at MacDill AFB.

Health Promotions


Health Promotions is the art and science of helping individuals, commands and the military community improve their health-related behaviors and outcomes. Services such as workshops, seminars, and briefings are provided related to wellness topics such as sleep, healthy eating, smoking cessation, etc.  

Operational Support Team (OST)


The OST typically includes a physical therapist, strength and conditioning specialist, psychologist, licensed clinical social worker, and team specialist to evaluate unit human performance factors. OSTs engage with unit members to improve resilience, and facilitate medical and mental health care when needed. The OST has rotational embedment with specified units using centralized data analytics to guide their interventions.
