Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – The Air Force Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a support resource available to all Air Force civilian employees, 24/7, 365 days per year. By calling 1-800-222-0364, employees and their family members will be connected to a licensed, credentialed counselor who can assist with mental health, financial, or legal support, as well as provide information and resources for day-to-day challenges like elder care, childcare, home repair and more. In the event of a furlough, this resource remains 100% available, 100% of the time.

The Mental Health Clinic offers individual and group counseling to individuals experiencing difficulty with personal or relational problems. Medication evaluation and treatment is also available. The Mental Health Clinic can provide suicide prevention information to all personnel. The goal is to reduce stigma and train personnel to identify individuals at risk and intervene appropriately. Crisis intervention is available for those individuals who are suicidal or having severe difficulty coping. Emergency evaluations may be available at a Commander’s request for individuals they feel may be suicidal, homicidal, or unable to care for themselves.

DoD-wide quality of life program for victims of sexual assault crimes that provides the following services: -- Restricted Reporting: Maintains Confidentiality -- There will NOT be an investigation. Command is NOT notified. Confidentiality is maintained. Report the assault to SARC, VA, sexual assault hotline, the healthcare provider. Medical and counseling services can be utilized while maintaining confidentiality. Sharing your assault information with anyone other than the agencies designated puts your restricted report at risk to be discovered. Talk to a SARC, VA, Chaplain, or healthcare personnel to keep your information Restricted. -- Unrestricted Reporting: INVESTIGATION STARTED - An official investigation will begin by OSI when OSI and command are notified. You may also report the assault to chain of command, OSI, sexual assault hotline, chaplain, or the Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examiner (SAMFE), and health care provider. Medical and counseling services can be utilized while maintaining confidentiality. WHAT IS THIRD PARTY REPORTING? Independent- Third party reporting. When a victim tells a person their story, and that person tells someone in their chain of command or contacts OSI. There will be an investigation with or without the consent of the victim. -- Assign a Victim Advocate who is trained to provide crisis intervention, information and referral of on/off base helping agency services to include support through medical and legal proceedings.

CATCH a Serial Offender: The CATCH Program gives victims of sexual assault who are making a Restricted Report, certain Unrestricted Reports where the name of the suspect is not reported to or uncovered by law enforcement, or no report an opportunity to anonymously disclose a suspect’s information to help the DoD identify repeat offenders. sapr.mil/catch

Provide military and civilian complaint processing for allegations of unlawful discrimination that fall within the purview of the Civil Act Rights of 1964, Title VII. Those protected categories for military members are race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual harassment, and sexual orientation. DoD civilian employees are also protected by the previous categories, along with age (40 or older), disability, reprisal for prior EEO activity, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), and genetic information. In an effort to promote an environment free from unlawful discrimination and/or harassment, the EO Office offers conflict resolution methods through mediation and facilitation utilizing the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Program. Team building and specialized training (i.e. focus groups, cultural awareness, etc.) are also provided to all levels of leadership in an effort to deliver preventative measures for a more cohesive environment with effective communication.

Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate (DAVA)


DAVAs are trained professionals who provide non-clinical advocacy services and support to servicemembers and adult family members experiencing domestic abuse. DAVAs are on call 24/7 to provide immediate assistance, safety planning, non-judgmental support, and information on available resources.

Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC/Adult)


MFLCs provide free confidential, short-term solution-focused non-medical and non-documented counseling to military members and immediate family members. MFLCs are licensed providers who can address relationships, stress, communication, adjustment, deployment, parenting, grief, loss, etc.  MFLCs must report instances or eminent risk of abuse, self-harm, and UCMJ infractions. 

Expedited Transfer (ET)


Victims of sexual assault have the right to request an expedited transfer. Expedited Transfers are to address situations where a victim feels safe, but uncomfortable due to potential ostracism, retaliation or other circumstances. Expedited Transfers are intended to assist in the victim’s recovery by moving the victim to a new location, where no one knows of the sexual assault. 

CATCH a Serial Offender

Victims’ Counsel (VC)


As part of a larger Air Force program to combat sexual assault and domestic violence offering support to victims who are eligible for services, the JAG Corps has worked to find ways to support the goals of the Air Force in combating sexual assault and domestic violence. The purpose of the VC Program is to provide advice, advocacy, and support to empower victims through independent legal representation.

Medical Group (MDG) 


Most MDGs provide beneficiary, warrior operational medicine, and flight operational medical care. Ancillary services typically include laboratory, radiology, immunizations, and pharmacy. Each MDG operates differently, and all services may not be available to all beneficiaries. For more information, visit the MDG or the site provided.

Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH)


PCBH is a team-based approach that integrates behavioral health services into primary care. It involves licensed behavioral health professionals, addressing not only behavioral health and substance use disorders, but also behavioral factors that affect overall health conditions. Care can be coordinated through your PCM or by a self-referral through the appointment line.

Specialty Mental Health - MDG


Provides clinical care to patients in need of specialized treatment for mental health diagnoses. Services include evidence-based therapeutic modalities, specialty medication management, special duty evaluations, and Command Directed Evaluations (CDEs). Service Members will be triaged or vectored utilizing Targeted Care, as described in the Mental Health Overview, to determine the appropriate resource for the presenting concern.

TRICARE


TRICARE is the health care program for uniformed service members, retirees, and their families around the world. TRICARE provides comprehensive coverage to all beneficiaries, including health plans, special programs, prescriptions, and dental plans. TRICARE is arranged into 3 regions: East, West and Overseas. Psychology Today


Psychology Today is a website that provides TRICARE (and other insurance) approved therapists (LPC, LCSW, PhD) and psychiatrist by zip code. Users are able to control for diagnosis (e.g., Depression Anxiety, PTSD), gender of provider, specialized training/experience of provider, etc. The website also provides resources for online therapy and support groups. Victim Advocate (SAPR)


Support adult victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment, providing advocacy, resource linking, and trauma-informed and recovery-oriented assistance in the DoD community.  Coordinators and Victim Advocates assist victims in making reports, work closely with leadership and resources to help servicemembers and their family members navigate the sexual assault response system.
