With the recent topic of sexual assault being a hot button in the military, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida is taking proactive steps to encourage a culture of dignity, trust and respect.

Ted Bunch, co-founder and director of The National Association of Men and Women Committed to Ending Violence against Women, visited MacDill AFB to speak with service members Aug. 18, 2014.

Two presentations were held, one in the morning for the 6th Air Mobility Wing and the second in the afternoon for the combatant commands.

The 90-minute presentation invited conversation and inspired concrete solutions and practical approaches toward ending men's violence against women. Bunch touched on the socialization of men in society and the negative stigmas against women.

"A Call to Men is not intended to indict men, but rather invite them to get off of the sidelines and become part of the solution," said Bunch.
