MacDill Airmen Fitness School leads the way with innovative functional fitness
U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Marcus Fludd, 6th Maintenance Group unit deployment manager and senior fitness trainer, pulls a weighted stretcher during Airmen Fitness School at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Nov. 16, 2021. The two-week course, offered to noncommissioned officers, is comprised of targeted functional fitness activities and reinforces resiliency skills. “My biggest takeaways from the course was understanding the science behind the different types of workouts and how they work together. Also, the value of a well-informed and motivated coach,” said Fludd. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Lauren Cobin)
