91st ARS refuel USAF Thunderbirds
U.S. Air Force Airmen from the 91st Air Refueling Squadron complete pre-flight checks inside the cockpit of a KC-135 Stratotanker at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Feb. 22, 2022 before escorting the U.S. Air Force Demonstration Squadron “Thunderbirds” back to Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. The KC-135 is capable of pumping thousands of gallons of jet fuel into aircraft midair, enabling aircraft to fly over tactical locations that are long distances away from supporting airfields.
