MacDill's flying squadrons honor 9/11 victims

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Juan Ramirez Ceballos, a boom operator assigned to the 91st Air Refueling Squadron poses for a photo near the flightline MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Sept. 9, 2022. Ramirez was a young child in Columbia when the events of 9/11 unfolded. He shared that early in the morning, while he watched the television preparing to leave for school, he didn’t truly understand what had happened until he noticed his mother and grandmother crying. Ramirez went on to say that in pursuit of the American dream, he found himself looking to do something greater than himself. Ramirez wanted to serve to carry on the legacy of those who have fought in the past for our Nation’s future. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Lauren Cobin)
