MacDill's flying squadrons honor 9/11 victims
U.S. Air Force Senior Airmen Jarren Sheppard, a boom operator assigned to the 50th Air Refueling Squadron poses for a photo after participating in a 9/11 memorial ruck at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Sept. 9, 2022. During the event, Sheppard rucked 9.11 miles to honor the victims of the 9/11 attacks. Sheppard emphasized the importance of paying tribute to the innocent American lives that were lost, continue to recognize why we served in Afghanistan and know that every servicemember who gave the ultimate sacrifice, will not be forgotten.
