Cable dogs keep MacDill connected
The 6th Communications Squadron (CS) recently completed the final laying of 35 total miles of cable throughout MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. The project was the culmination of many smaller cable-laying jobs completed throughout the year. Ultimately aiding in the function and mission of MacDill and the 6th Air Mobility Wing (AMW).

Rookies from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took a break from training to visit MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, June 10, 2016. The visit, which included a trip to various points of interest around base, provided the players with insight to the military community and mission on MacDill.

MacDill Airmen train on Striker 3000
Members from the 6th Logistics Readiness Squadron and the 6th Civil Engineer Squadron came together to test and familiarize themselves with two new Striker 3000 fire trucks June 9, 2016, at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. The new fire trucks are an improvement to the previous models in service, with the ability to extinguish fires more effectively.
